This work was inspired by the Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, a breathtaking sight where thousands of glowing red lanterns drift upward into the night. Each lantern is carefully inscribed with wishes and words of hope, carrying people’s dreams into the sky. I recreated this scene with authentic Taiwanese buildings and countless glowing lanterns to reflect the beauty and spirit of the festival. Through this project, I wanted to capture not only the visual magic of Pingxi but also the feeling of connection that the lanterns bring, reminding us that even in darkness, light can carry our wishes higher.
